Local Access Service Providers

Local Access Service Providers are businesses with largely residential customers that have a primary phone, either fixed or mobile (or a payphone – although that is a dwindling option), but need a way to make international calls at lower rates than those the provider of their primary phone service charges.  One version of how this service is presented is in the form of calling cards – although increasingly there is no "card".  In order to deliver this type of service, a provider needs the following:

• Local access gateway numbers in every area in which their customers are located.
• A customizable gateway so they can welcome their customers (in any language) and offer them the information and service options the partner selects.
• A platform that can manage the customers and their credentials (which, in the case of a PINless service, is their registered phone number(s)).
• A platform that can allow the provider to purchase bulk call credit at volume-discounted prices and distribute that credit, based on partner-defined parameters, with their customers.
• A platform that will alert the partner and/or auto-recharge their call credit so the partner can closely manage cash flow while being assured that customers never get less usage than they paid for.
• A set of tools that lets you, anytime and from anywhere, review and manage your account.
• The ability to download and analyze real-time customer call detail records to help understand your customers’ usage behavior, your costs, and  construct what-if scenarios to maximize your business.

Local Access Numbers

Local Access Numbers are available in thousands of cities in 70 countries.  Call anywhere in the world from any phone in the world and use your InPhonex Telecom PrePaid Call Credit by dialing a Local Access Number.

In order to use this feature, call the applicable local access number, enter your Virtual Phone Number and 5-digit PIN (as set in the Control Panel), wait for the voice prompt and then call any number (PSTN, Voicemail, Conference) followed by the pound (#) key. This deducts applicable calling credit from your account based on the number called.

Note: Unlimited plans do not include the use of the Local Access Numbers. You must maintain PrePaid Call Credit or Bulk Plan minutes to use this service.
